restricted artists,
and do not allow companies like MMS Inc. to use their songs. These restrictions are set by their record labels, and
this applies to all music supply services, not just MMS.
A: Truth of the matter is, we don’t edit the songs in any way. The “edited” versions you are referring to are the
Radio Edit versions of songs, which are versions we get from record companies. We try to use these "radio-friendly"
versions of songs, since the majority of DJ’s we service need to be able to play songs at a variety of venues,
particularly school dances and weddings. Occassionally, we will use an un-edited version of a song, but usually only if
there is no edited version available. If this may be the case, we place an [Explicit Lyrics] warning next to
the title of the song on the index card of the CD.
A: Sure! Just click on the search icon on our main page. This will search all of our discs and show you which one(s) your song is on!
the cds we have released listed. Just select the ones you wish to download by clicking on them or select
all of a section and then scroll down to the bottom and click download. The next window you see will as
you to “just open” the file or “save to your computer”–our recommendation is to just open. If you choose
to save it to your computer you will need to save the file as an “XLS” document not “CSV” or it will not
work. The program runs in Excel or Access. Once open, you will need to adjust the column widths so that
the information will fit on a standard 8 1/2×11 piece of paper. If you need any assisstance working through
the program, just contact us and we will try to help. If you are still having difficulties, we can print a
manual for you for a small charge.
